Frequently Asked Questions

What is this website used for?

ImageSqueeze allows users to compress images and convert them to different formats.
You can reduce the file size of your images without significantly compromising quality, making them easier to store, share, and upload.

How to use the site?

Start by uploading your images by dragging them on the drop zone or by clicking on Browse to open the file explorer.
After the images have been uploaded, you can either compress them or convert them to another format (or both).

2.1 Compression

Compressing your images will reduce their file size. You can choose between 2 types of compression:
  • Good Compression: Tries to compress as much as possible without impacting image quality. Use this when you just want to save some space and keep the original image quality.
  • Extreme Compression: Heavy compression that can have a noticable impact on image quality. Use this when your priority is to save space.

Convertion

You can also choose to convert your images in a different format. Choose the desired format and all your images will be converted.

What are the supported image formats?

ImageSqueeze can process the following image formats:

  • JPEG
  • PNG
  • WebP

Why did my images file size increase?

Whether you chose to compress your images or not, your images file size can increase if you converted them to a heavier format.
PNG for instance uses a lot more space than the other formats.
